Celesta Vista
About the property
7,000 square feet. An indoor heated pool with a tiki bar. A 15-seat private movie theater. An Irish pub with billiards, foosball, darts, and a full arcade. Mountain views stretching across Wears Valley. This is Celesta Vista — and there is nothing else like it in the Smokies.
The name "Celesta Vista" literally means "heavenly view." True to its name, this custom-built lodge sits more than 1,000 feet above Wears Valley with the Smoky Mountain National Park bordering the back of the property. Views stretch across the valley to the foothills, Bluff Mountain, and Hatcher Mountain. 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms (7 full, 2 half), and room for up to 30 guests — built for family reunions, large group trips, weddings, and multi-family vacations where everyone actually has space to spread out.
WHAT MAKES CELESTA VISTA DIFFERENT
INDOOR POOL HOUSE — A tropically appointed pool house with a heated indoor swimming pool, floor deck jets, and a spillover 6-person spa. There is also a 4-person sauna with an MP3 player inside. The pool house features its own tiki bar — a traditional island-style, bamboo-clad, thatched tiki shack where shoes and shirts are definitely not required. Located on a mountain ridge immediately adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the tiki bar is decorated with hand-carved tiki poles, bar stools, surfboards, friendly animals, and other tropical decor. A changing room and full bathroom are also available in the pool house.
15-SEAT MOVIE THEATER — From the 12-foot high, star-lit ceiling, to the elaborate decor, to the movie-quality picture and sound system, the Celesta Vista Theater has been designed to provide you and your guests the ultimate VIP home theater experience. Accommodates 15 people.
"NAUGHTY LEPRECHAUN" IRISH PUB & GAME ROOM — For the adults who are ready to let their hair down and act like kids, Celesta Vista has brought an Irish legacy to the Smoky Mountains. The pub area is tastefully decorated with mahogany stained woodwork, plaster walls, and Irish Whiskey barrels. The bar area includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, blender, and all required glassware to host your own St. Patrick's Day party. A jukebox loaded with all your favorite tunes and a wide selection of traditional Irish melodies. The recreation area features a gas fireplace with a 60" flat-screen TV, DVD player, Xbox-360, a full-sized pool table, dartboard, air hockey table, foosball, poker table, and an upright arcade game featuring 60 free-play video games from yesteryear (Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Donkey Kong, etc). A wide assortment of your favorite movies and games have also been provided.
KIDS' FANTASY BEDROOMS — Two themed bedrooms that kids will not want to leave. "The Jedi Academy" is a full spaceship-themed room for future Jedi warriors — with a futuristic industrial interior, a cockpit with control panels, a window peering into the deep abyss of space, and two sets of bunk beds (the first set designed for younger Padawans and a set designed for young Jedi to rest and be ready for Master Yoda's special training during sleep). "Narnia's Wardrobe" is accessed through an ornately decorated wardrobe that opens to reveal a magical winter wonderland — a snow-covered forest, stone mountain walls with an electric fireplace (the entrance to Mr. Tumnus's home), luxury sleigh beds, a ceiling of stars, and of course the frozen lamppost.
OUTDOOR LIVING — 3,000 square feet of finished outdoor living space. A large two-story gazebo with a fully fitted outdoor kitchen featuring a gas grill, sink, and refrigerator. The upper level has an elevated bar area that seats 8 or more with the valley and mountains stretched below. An 8-person hot tub sits under a gazebo-covered deck. Expansive sun deck and landscaped yard — all with those views.
LAYOUT & SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
MAIN FLOOR — The great room is the heart of Celesta Vista. A wall of windows overlooks Wears Valley and the view truly cannot be captured in pictures. The main living area features a gas log fireplace and an expansive sitting area with a large 60" flat-screen television. Two interconnected full-service kitchens make cooking for a large gathering easy. All large and small appliances (stove, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and much more) are available in each kitchen, as well as a full assortment of brand new cookware, dishes, glassware, and cutlery. An over-sized washer and dryer, and half bath are also on this floor. The dining area seats 32 — including a master dining table for 20, an elevated bar area for 4, and a separate dining table for 6. A study and business center is connected to the great room with a variety of books and a sofa that converts to a queen bed for additional sleeping.
Main Floor Master Bedroom — Possibly the largest master bedroom in the Smokies. King bed, flat-screen television, DVD player, a large gas fireplace, chest of drawers, and a walk-in closet. Private sitting area with a sleeper ottoman. The en-suite bath includes an oversized whirlpool tub and a unique walk-in, dual head shower with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that look down into the valley.
UPSTAIRS LOFT — An open-air bedroom that overlooks the great room below. King-sized bed, full ensuite bathroom, flat-screen television, DVD player, chest of drawers, and a separate closet. The view from the loft to the valley below is one of the most impressive views from inside the home.
LOWER LEVEL — Home of the "Naughty Leprechaun" Irish Pub, recreation room, and movie theater (described above). This level also has 5 additional bedrooms: one queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, "The Jedi Academy" (sleeps 4, twin bunk beds), "Narnia's Wardrobe" (sleeps 4, twin bunk beds), and two large bedrooms on the opposite side — one with two queen-sized beds and one with two king-sized beds. Both have their own TV/DVD players and ensuite bathrooms. The Jedi Academy and Narnia's Wardrobe share a full bathroom located in the hallway.
PARKING — Unlike most properties in the Great Smoky Mountains that don't have enough parking for more than a couple of cars, Celesta Vista has an almost 2,000 sqft parking area. Plenty of room for large groups.
DRIVEWAY NOTE — The driveway to Celesta Vista is steep. Very good tire tread is recommended for all-wheel-drive vehicles or 4x4s. Please do not overload your vehicle if you don't have these vehicles.
